On the 4th September (today), at around 9:30 pm, I purchased a Lost Mary 6K vape from this shop. Within less than 10 minutes of purchase, I discovered that the vape was completely faulty. it was new, full, but would not puff at all.
When I returned to the shop less than ten minutes later to explain this, the employee repeatedly refused to acknowledge my consumer rights, stating “no returns.” I explained that I was not asking for a return, but that the product was faulty and unfit for use. Instead of resolving the matter, the employee:
Intimidated me when I mentioned Trading Standards.
Chased me out of the shop.
Attempted to physically put hands on me outside the store.
As a young woman, this was an extremely frightening experience. Not only was I sold a faulty product in breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, but I was also subjected to threatening behaviour.
I have reported this business to both Hackney trading standards and consumers advice. Will follow up on this review when I get a resolution.
